Wuhua Society brings Christmas joy to thousands of children

In the Vila Basilina community of S ã o Paulo, five overseas Chinese organizations, including the China Pakistan Charity Foundation, Brazil Qingtian Charity Association, China Pakistan Shooting Association, Brazil Jinhua Chamber of Commerce Association, and Brazil Chinese Badminton Association, jointly launched a charity event.

In the afternoon, there were scattered showers over the Vila Basilina community, but the event venue remained lively. The Chinese representatives of the five host overseas Chinese organizations arrived at the scene in advance, built inflatable castles and trampolines for the children, and prepared a large number of Christmas gifts. The originally quiet streets were quickly filled with music, laughter, and crowds.

Several overseas Chinese community leaders and volunteers braved the rain to transport pre packaged donated materials from nearby warehouses to the event venue, shuttling back and forth in the rain to deliver toys, food, and gifts to children in a timely manner.

During the event, Rong Qiang, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Chinese Consulate General in S ã o Paulo, along with the organizers of the overseas Chinese delegation, Zhu Shiqi, Liu Yongming, Ji Qide, Zhang Xiaohong, and Xu Minglin, participated in the event with nearly a thousand children and parents from the community.

On site, lion dance performances, robot interactions, and children's play areas were filled with laughter and joy, and the scene was orderly. Primary school students from Hongen Bilingual School in Brazil brought a dance performance and gave their prepared toys to children in the community. The subsequent lucky draw session pushed the atmosphere to a climax. Twelve brand new bicycles were pulled out one by one, and the children who received the bicycles held the prizes and took a group photo in front of the stage, surrounded by bursts of applause. The other children present also received Christmas gifts one by one, and the staff checked the list one by one to ensure that everyone received them.

It is reported that this event is one of the series of activities of the '2025 Love Christmas Charity Project'. These five overseas Chinese groups have cooperated with the 'More Sports, Less Medication' organization in Sao Paulo to promote it. In the future, multiple Christmas charity donation activities will be carried out in communities such as Epilanga, Vila Mariana, and Tiladentes City.
